This weekend Patriots travelled to Bonita Vista High School to participate in a Quad with Bonita, Brawley and Fallbrook High Schools. Bonita and Brawley were CIF Divisional Champions in their respective divisions. Patriots were up to the challenge. We brought 8 wrestlers who were ready to wrestle and compete against two of the best teams in San Diego.
Patriots wrestled well with Ethan Vinoray, Ayden Ventura winning by fall and Nick Arambula winning by decision over Brawley. Against Bonita Ethan Vinoray and William Soares won by fall. Abudullah Alshami lost a close match by two points.
The team wrestled well against Fallbrook with six wrestlers winning by forfeit or fall including freshmen Dominic Pavone. Team edged out Fallbrook by one point, wining by criteria.
This puts Patriots at a 7-2 dual record, with next week team going into our League matches and Jimmy Hamada Tournament.
