Patrick Henry and Point Loma were to dual on two occasions this season. But due to COVID, both times were delayed until the week before CIF competition.
The Patrick Henry fans as always came in full force, packing the stands at an away dual, cheering on the Patriots at the Point Loma senior night.
Both teams were young and were suffering holes in lineups after a long and difficult season. In spite of this, Patriots dominated the night.

Senior Derrick Nguyen substituted for Mikey Krause beginning the run with a fall. He was followed by sophomores Alex Adler, Francisco Gonzalez and freshman Eriksson Kylstad, who scored falls against their opponents as well. Freshman Reid Muscat also scored a fall as did the new member of the team Danny Leon who avenged both of his losses from the previous week to the 184-pound Point Loma opponent, pinning him in the second period.
Junior Dominic Perez also scored a fall after a close call on his back. Two lone losses came to Thomas Luhta and Jared Hollander who wrestled up a weight class against the Point Loma star wrestler who would take fifth place at the San Diego Masters two weeks later.
Jake Lozano and Derrick Nguyen won their second matches by fall in exhibition.
The final score was 57-18 completed a near-perfect league season with a second-place finish (4-1) and an impressive season dual record of 14-5 dual with an average win of 27 points.
